Öz

Literatürde “Efedrin kötüye kullanımı ve bağımlılığına bağlı gelişen psikotik bozukluk” ile ilgili olarak yayınlanmış birçok olgu sunumu bulunmaktadır. Bu yazıda “Efedrin bağımlılığı ve efedrin kullanımına bağlı psikotik bozukluk” tanıları bir olgu bazında gözden geçirilecektir. Olgu 25 yıldır efedrin kullanmaktadır ve son dört yıldır işitme varsanıları gelişmiştir. Birçok kez ilacı bırakma girişiminde bulunmuş ancak başarılı olamamıştır. Kliniğimiz bağımlılık servisinde yatarak tedavi altına alınan olgunun efedrin kullanımı kesildikten on gün sonra, herhangi bir antipsikotik ilaç sağaltımı yapılmadan işitme var- sanıları silinmiştir.
